What the research says

Pooled analysis · 3 trials · 396 people

Zinc L-carnosine — polaprezinc, the form used here — was developed in Japan as a gastric mucosal protective agent, not as a supplement. Pooled across three randomized trials in 396 people, adding it alongside conventional therapy roughly doubled the odds of clearance in the per-protocol analysis (OR 2.65; 95% CI, 1.55–4.54; P = 0.0004), while tolerability stayed comparable to conventional therapy given by itself (OR 1.06; 95% CI, 0.55–2.06).

Placebo-controlled trial · 148 adults · 3 weeks

Chios mastic gum brings its own human data rather than only lab work. One hundred forty-eight adults meeting Rome II criteria for functional dyspepsia were given either 350 mg of the resin or a matching placebo, three times a day, for three weeks. Final symptom scores averaged 14.78 on mastic against 19.96 on placebo (P < 0.05), and 77% of those on mastic judged themselves improved, compared with 40% on placebo (P < 0.02).

Frequently asked questions

Everything people ask before their first order

What is in this formula?
Four active ingredients per serving: zinc L-carnosine, mastic gum, DGL (deglycyrrhizinated) licorice and L-glutamine. They are combined to support stomach lining integrity and everyday digestive comfort.
What exactly is zinc L-carnosine?
A chelated compound pairing zinc with the dipeptide L-carnosine. It was developed in Japan and has been studied for its affinity for the gastric mucosa - the lining of the stomach.
How many capsules per day?
Two capsules daily. Each bottle contains 120 capsules, which is a full 60-day supply.
Should I take it with food?
Zinc carnosine is commonly taken before meals so it reaches the stomach lining directly. Follow the directions on the label; if you experience discomfort, taking it with a small amount of food is reasonable.
Is there a concern with the licorice?
The licorice here is deglycyrrhizinated, meaning the glycyrrhizin compound has been removed. DGL is the form used when licorice is taken regularly for stomach comfort.
Does it interact with medication?
If you take any prescription medication or have a medical condition, consult your healthcare professional before use. This is a dietary supplement, not a substitute for medical advice.
Is it made in the USA?
Yes, in facilities that follow current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) requirements for dietary supplements.
What is the return policy?
Unopened bottles can be returned within the window stated on our Shipping and Returns page. Opened product is not eligible for return.
