Inside Velna Zvis: Why We Build Single-Ingredient Formulas
UpdatedMost supplement labels lead with a proprietary blend - a list of twelve ingredients behind a single milligram figure. We went the other way. Here is the reasoning.
The problem with proprietary blends
A blend lets a brand list impressive ingredients without disclosing how much of each is present. If a formula contains 500mg of a twelve-ingredient blend, any single ingredient could be present at a fraction of a meaningful amount. You cannot evaluate what you cannot see.
Our approach: one clear active
Each Velna Zvis formula is built around a single well-studied active - aged garlic extract, grass-fed beef liver, magnesium taurate or zinc carnosine - with supporting ingredients included for a specific, stated role. Every amount appears on the Supplement Facts panel.
Choosing the form, not just the ingredient
The ingredient is only half the decision. Magnesium bound to taurine behaves differently from magnesium oxide. CoQ10 as ubiquinol is not the same as CoQ10 as ubiquinone. Garlic that has been aged is not raw garlic powder. We publish the form because the form is the product.
Format is a compliance decision
The best-formulated supplement is useless if it sits in a cupboard. Gummies remove two of the three reasons people stop: swallowing large capsules, and taste. We consider format part of efficacy, not a marketing afterthought.
What we do not claim
Our products support normal body function. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and we do not write copy that implies otherwise.

Frequently asked questions
What is a proprietary blend?
A proprietary blend groups several ingredients under one total milligram figure, so you cannot see how much of each one you are getting. A single-ingredient formula lists the amount of every active component separately.
Why does Velna Zivs avoid blends?
Because a blend hides the dose. If you cannot see the amount, you cannot compare two products or tell whether the dose matches what was studied. Every Velna Zivs label lists each active ingredient and its exact amount.
Are single-ingredient formulas less convenient?
They can mean more than one bottle, which is why the range is designed to be combined. You get control over what you take and how much - that is the trade-off.
